Saturday Workout


AMRAP Hand Release Push Ups in 90 sec
+
A. Clean and Jerk - build to a max
B. High Bar Back Squat - build to a max
(post % of HBBS to CJ - i.e. 200/180 = 90%)

30 pushups - paced them steady and not fast. Only took a couple of short breaks near the end to shake out the arms.

A. #160 - Cleaned #165 and then failed the jerk, which would have matched my PR. Here are the videos. Apologies for the terrible quality. I didn't realize that it was out of focus and cutting off my head. 


B. #205 - HBBS was uncomfortable for me. I hadn't done it in a loooong time. I screwed up the video on the 205 lift but here is the video of my fail at 215. 


% ratio was 80% - I don't know if that's bad or good! :)

  1. Oh, I meant to note that my friend who was working out with me told me that the bar looked too far forward when I was jerking - almost like I was jumping a little backwards. I'm pretty sure this was a result of not dipping straight up and down when I got tired. Sorry again for cutting it off.
