Sunday Workout (Done on Monday)
300FY - did this for the first time on the Airdyne i got for my garage. I felt like I put out a good, if not my best, effort but only got 112 cals according to the counter. My PR is 160, so I'm thinking this i a bit off...?
Could be several things. Unplug the wire from the sensor and check for rust or corrosion. Clean the sensor and the plastic part of the wheel and magnet on it.
ReplyDeleteAlso make sure your seat is adjusted to the correct height. At the bottom of the turn of the pedal, your leg should be almost completely locked out. If your seat is too low, you will not get the output that you should and your score will be off.
Compared to running, for a female AD for 15-18 cals is approximately the same as 200m Run @ high effort. Try it, you should feel about the same.
On 300FY, when you get off the bike, if you really went for it, you should feel MUCH, MUCH worse than almost anything, even a 500M row time trial
Checked my contact. It was a little dusty but no corrosion. I'm definitely familiar with the suck of 300FY having done it 3 or 4 times already this past year...as described, it SUCKED, but was not my 100% effort. Still, it SUCKED...it should have been more than the number on the readout.
